A tried and tested strategy to build your list is to make a good ebook that the user will want to get for free.

    trafficmagnet

This is usually offered as a sign up bonus or giveaway, to get the ebook the customer leaves his email address and name.

After clicking the submit button the user must confirm they want the ebook and once they do this they are taken to the website address to download the ebook from there.

If you take a look at my blog http://www.markterrell.co.uk on the left hand side bar you will see a sign up form for my free COACHING NEWBIES newsletter which has lots of tips and advice to help new internet marketers earn money online. this is what you could do to build your list on your website or blog.

If you don’t know what to write or how to put your ebook together, don’t worry, these days you need not even go through the trouble of writing your own ebook.

You can outsource it to writers who then give you the full resale rights of the book.
A good place i have found is http://getafreelancer.com.

The reason why this method works so well is People like to receive free ebooks, particularly if they are interested in the information it contains and ebooks are inexpensive to give away because they are digital format and you don’t have to maintain any physical stock.

Remember the ebook must be of great value and good content, do not fluff or pad out the ebook, it is better to have less pages and be straight to the point then try to fill 50 pages of rubbish.

To get more downloads and signups post your ebook link to various free websites.

Make your ebook a limited time offer, ” Explain your book will only be available to download for free for the next 48 hours” this always makes people take action.

Don’t forget you will need a good auto-responder program like Aweber to deliver your replies and ebook links.

Remember once you have got people on your list they are your target customers.

You must convert them into buying products from you and you must make sure they look forward to receiving your messages and following your recommendations.

Make sure your website is built in such a way to draw peoples attention and you are offering good vale content regally so your readers keep coming back.

I hope this gives you a little insight into List Building Tactics.

    Hi Mark.
Nice post. We always want to give value right? I also like the audio. Can you tell me what program you are using for that? Is it paid or free and what’s the name of it?
Keep up the great work. Your blog looks great too by the way.

    Thanks again,

    Ed

    Twiter ID: Trevor_T_Jones
I am a student of Alex Jeffreys I have been looking around at fellow students blogs and came across yours. Definitely one of the best. I felt I had to leave a comment because your blog is simply, so inspirational and informative, It has given me hope and ideas to better mine.
It is so clean and fresh looking. I am always worried I overdo it myself, to much content you know. Your blog is just right. I would appreciate if you would pass comment on mine just to confirm I haven’t overdone it. On my blog I am doing a theme on successful internet marketers. Really like to know what you think as I am pretty new to all this layout stuff. I hope one day that I can write about your internet success. Keep up the good work
    Rgds Trevor

    Hi Mark,

How are you? I’m working on writing my own free e-book, but it is going to take me awhile to finish. I’m not great at writing, but I would like to try and write it myself. I might look into having someone proof read or edit it though. Are there people at getafreelancer that do that as well?

    Take Care, Heidi

Another Alex student! I’m not one myself, but just enrolled on the wordpress classroom and browsing other blogger’s ‘blogs’ hence I’m here.

So, after watching your intro ‘tiny’ video (I’d of had that video much bigger!) and you’ve been in ‘it’ for 8 months, are you starting to reap the benefits financially yet or does it take longer.

    Nice blog.

    Hi Mark

I have done this myself and got it out on a squeeze page but have tried to add value to it by creating a follow me scenario offering free support and mentoring so i hold them to account and make sure they take action – i only hope i havent shot myself in the foot there because i’m not charging for it but i’m sure it will be a good learning exercise.

    Hi peter,

In the long term offering FREE advice and help will pay dividends in the long term…

Keep at it and you will gradually build trust with your list.

    Hello Steve,

Thanks for your comments, yes i did have my video a bit bigger but made it smaller to get more in, may change this….

Yes i was in the Alex Jeffreys Couching program and have had some financial reward..

I have also learnt a lot more since the course finished and now try to help anyone that askes what i have learned for FREE,

    A couple of things

1.stop buying every get rich ebook or the next best thing guide.
2.do not reinvent the wheel, copy a guru or someone that will show you how to make money.
3.If someone offers you a ” get 10000 twitter followers in a month course, see how many twitter followers they have?”

    hope this helps
