Driving traffic to your Blog sounds easy, doesn’t it?
Well, trust me it’s not. you may have the best blog in the world but if no one sees it, you wont make a sale.
You need to find a way through which you can drive targeted visitors to your site.
Most people drive traffic to your Blog is through natural search engine optimization like google search. This is by far the slowest process, but it is also one of the best ways of driving continued traffic over time.
Natural search engine traffic generally entails getting as many links back to your site. Now i would not recommend using link farms, as the major search engines are devaluing reciprocal links in favor of one-way links.
Putting your keywords and phrases into your header and title tags and developing your website or blog around your niche keywords and phrases will speed up the process of getting listed in search engines quicker and getting a higher placement.
Another quick way to drive traffic is with joint ventures or people who might be able to assist you in some mutually beneficial way.
You may consider using pay per click advertising if you need traffic more quickly. To do this you will have to open a Google Adwords account.
The advantaged of using Google Adwords is you can drive very targeted traffic to your Blog and can monitor very closely which campaign and ads are working.
Another way in which i drive traffic to my Blog and Sites is through blog and forum posting, however, it is very important that you do not spam these!
Find the top blogs in your niche and participate on the forums, if you cannot think of anything to say, ask relevant questions or provide people with something of value, and include a signature file that links back to your Blog.
I have found even if the Guru does not reply to your posts, many people on the blogs will be curious and click your link and take a look at your blog.
Remember if someone visits your blog you need to offer great value and a reason for them to return…. A great way to do this, is to offer a FREE product, the product must be of great value and content.
I hope this gives you a few ideas, if you have any questions or ideas please leave a comment on my blog at: http://www.markterrell.co.uk or contact me on Twitter at: http://twitter.com/Mark_Terrell

Hi Mark,
I think anyone who has ever tried to drive traffic to their blog will admit it is anything but easy. But as you point out, there are a few small things that can really help. It’s important to remember that much of online interaction mimics life. People will notice you, if you make an effort to notice them. Thanks for making this point in your post.

That’s true! Reading articles of other bloggers and putting comments isn’t bad at all. Just put value unto your comment and it will be greatly appreciated. Other commentators can even visit your blog through your link. You can even have stable traffic if visitors find your blog interesting.
Social media marketing has also taken some heights today. Good magnet to attract traffic!
Thanks for sharing these valuable post!

How to Plan and Build a Business Part-Time
Step1
Select a hobby you’d like to convert into a profitable business or a passion that you’d like to learn more about.
Step 2
Research, research, research. Read books and talk to people who have worked in the industry you’re considering.
Step 3
Get a sense of how much income you can make in the first year or two, and what kind of financial investment you’ll need to make.
Step 4
Prepare a plan to determine how much money you will need to make before you can quit your job, and how long it will take you to reach that goal.
Step 5
Be careful not to inappropriately use your employer’s time and resources for your own business.
Step 6
Avoid telling your boss before you are ready.
Step 7
Keep your standards of performance up to protect your primary source of income.

Great post! Blogging is a great marketing tool and it helps to expand your business if your blogsite is teeming with traffic. The suggested tips on this post are really effective. I have been doing some of them and they work great. I agree, selecting the right keywords is extremely important for SEO. Some minor tips for bloggers: you have to be interesting and unique so that people will feel their time wasn’t wasted while reading your post. Eventually, you’ll gain loyal subscribers who may become potential buyers to your online business (if you have one) and before you know it, your business is up and running.
